Get to know Nursing Student, Jessica Robles, who lives in Ventura, California.

Ventura born and raised, Jessica is a nursing student who is currently enrolled at California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI) in Camarillo, California. She is studying to earn her nursing degree. Jessica has known that she wanted to become a nurse ever since she was seven years old. “I would get those little plastic doctor’s kits and pretend I was giving my family injections,” she stated. However, much of her inspiration came from her grandmother, who was not formally trained as a nurse, but had to be taught basic nursing skills on the job in the small Zacatecas, Mexico village where she grew up.
